Run for Life Logo

As the name implies, this is an informational web site for life long running. It's owned and operated by one male runner born in 1938 so you can see it is focused on continued serious running over a life time. As this web site goes live, the information is mostly based on the experiences of one old guy. These may or may not apply to the running public in general. It is however aimed for people who run to compete not simply for the health benefits.
Over time, we hope to include positive examples of very young runners. The concern is we might be pushing them to compete too hard, too early resulting in their leaving the sport and losing its potential benefits. The goal is life long running not a short burst of glory followed by a life time of dislike for the sport. Of course, there are many positive lessons to be learned from early competitive running. All of these relate directly to the simple components necessary to build a successful life both at home and in the workplace.
Likewise, the experiences of older female runners will be added provided input can be received from them. There are certainly many good competitive female runners from which to draw upon.
Finally, this is NOT a commercial web site. There are no ads and no plans to ever have any. It is not about money, just a place to go to post and share information.
